Aims of the Ministry
To put the effective use of the cultivable lands in the Diocese of Madras for the purpose of income generation and for employment of the local poor.
To provide agro based education and training to equip and empower the rural landless and landed poor livelihood. This is to avoid the displacement of the poor from the villages and to find and generate employment in the village itself as much as possible.
To involve the rural pastorates in this ministry in the respective areas, and enable the pastorates to take this ministry as the ministry of the Church .
